Summer’s warmth has slipped through our fingers, and autumn whispers her cool breath across the land, soft and steady.

It is the ninth month of the ninth year {9/9} and somehow, I can’t help but feel the universe has woven a secret message into this rhythm.

Yes, it gets a little mystical here but what would life be without a little magic, right?

In numerology, the number 9 is about graceful endings, about closing doors with reverence so that new ones may open. It is the poetry of transition, the quiet promise of rebirth.

Everything that no longer feels aligned in our lives – friendships, partnerships, jobs, toxic behaviors, childhood wounds, unhealthy routines – is invited to find its ending now.

If nothing old, broken, or dying leaves, nothing truly new can grow.

Like leaves surrendering their green so the tree can rest, we too are asked: what in us longs to fall away?

It is not easy. But I know these phases are sacred. They show us where healing still waits, and what season is calling us forward.

September is about the realization rather than immediate action. It is about feeling what is rising within us.

To recognize and to honor it.

Old versions of you may need to leave in order for you to step into the full version that has been waiting for you.

And also anyone or anything leaving your life in this phase is simply not meant to continue the journey with you. It is no punishment, no cruelty, no mistake. It just isn’t meant to stay. Don’t force it. Just let it go.

That, I believe, is the true gift of September.
