why do we limit ourselves?

By

Today I was thinking: in a world full of endless opportunities, why wouldn’t I try everything my soul desires? Like trial and error.

How will I ever know what I love if I don’t test it all?

Seriously—ask anyone who knows me well: I’ve had countless ideas for my professional career or for how I’d spend my free time. But I never pursued any of them. My ideas just floated by like clouds—I couldn’t narrow it down to “one” thing.

A few days ago I realized that when friends and family ask how it’s going with all my projects, I sometimes cringe. I feel embarrassed saying, “Nah, that wasn’t for me,” or “It didn’t work out.” But honestly, if I hadn’t tried, I’d be stuck in “what if.” And why be ashamed of grabbing opportunities and seeing where they lead? I’d much rather dive in, discover what doesn’t suit me, and move on – than never try at all.

And yes, you can pursue multiple passions at the same time. Don’t limit yourself to a single job or one hobby if they all make you feel alive. I don’t mean rushing into burnout. I mean genuinely feeling alive.

I used to stress about finding The One job, the One business idea, the One hobby. But that’s just not me. I love doing different things. Learning new skills and staying curious is what keeps me alive.

It took me a while to realize that this isn’t a flaw. it’s really nice actually. Society tells us we look indecisive if we dabble in different fields. But I know it’s the best way at least for me personally. And I don’t think this will ever change. Hopefully.

Whatever your heart desires, whatever your soul craves – never limit yourself.

I enjoyed reading! I agree. Find your passion, find your purpose, pursue what makes you happy inside.
